Jalandhar: Today, the Food Safety Department team raided a bakery near Basti Sheikh Sabzi Mandi in Jalandhar. A notice was issued to the bakery operator due to lack of proper cleanliness. This action was taken today i.e. on Saturday.
Assistant Commissioner of Food Safety Department, Dr. Harjot Pal Singh said that a team of Food Safety Officers Mukul Gill, Rajni Rani and Anil along with other officers inspected a bakery in Basti Sheikh near Sabzi Mandi. During the inspection, they identified several shortcomings, prompting them to issue a notice to the bakery operator and instruct him to make improvements in line with the required standards.
The official said- action was taken to prevent adulterated food items
Assistant Commissioner Dr. Harjot Pal Singh said that the team of food safety officers took this action during the ongoing investigation campaign to prevent adulteration in food and beverages. The Food Safety Department is committed to prevent adulteration in food items.
Such investigations will continue in the coming days as well. He appealed to the people associated with the food and beverage business to sell only clean and quality food products. Appropriate action will be taken against adulterators as per the law.
