Gangster Happy Pasian arrested in America, involved in 14 grenade attacks in Punjab

US-based gangster Harpreet Singh alias Happy Pasian has been detained by the US Immigration Department. He is said to be responsible for 14 grenade attacks in Punjab in the last six months. The arrest of Harpreet Singh alias Happy Pasia has also been confirmed by the US agency FBI through a post.

Security agencies say that this gangster was one of India’s most wanted gangsters and had a reward of Rs 5 lakh on him. He is currently in the custody of ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement).


Security force sources said that Happy Pasian carried out the grenade attacks with the help of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI and Babbar Khalsa International.

Happy Pasian had carried out several grenade attacks on police establishments in Punjab and had claimed responsibility for them on social media. Security agencies had started searching for him after a series of blasts targeting police establishments in Amritsar since November 2024.

“The NIA has filed an application in the Chandigarh District Court seeking an arrest warrant against Pasia in connection with the grenade attack on a house in Sector 10, Chandigarh on September 11 last year,” the source said. The investigation into the Sector 10 attack has revealed that Pasia had allegedly plotted the attack while working for Rinda.

An official said, “Former Jalandhar SP Jaskirat Singh Chahal and his family were targeted in a grenade attack. It was carried out by two persons named Rohan and Vishal Masih. After throwing the grenade, both of them fled. Later, Pasiya took responsibility for the attack on social media.”
