Bathinda: Notorious gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, involved in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, was shifted from Bathinda High Security Jail to Silchar Jail in Assam by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) amid tight security on Saturday evening. Earlier, 5 big drug smugglers have been shifted to Assam Jail.
Gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria’s name was also involved in international drug smuggling cases. Jaggu has been sent to Assam under the NDPS Act. The police have sent the gangster to Assam by plane. However, sources say that Jaggu was in great danger in Punjab jail, due to which this action has been taken. However, no official statement has come out in this regard.
Let us tell you that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, gangster Goldie Brar, Anmol Bishnoi and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria were involved in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. But after the murder of Jaggu’s companions in jail by Lawrence’s henchmen, gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria and Lawrence gang had a rift among themselves. At one time both were ready to kill each other. Today both are enemies. In such a situation, Jaggu’s life was in danger in Punjab.
So far, Jaggu Bhagwanpuria has been acquitted in about 19 criminal cases. A total of around 70 cases are registered against him, including murder, attempt to murder, robbery and serious charges under the NDPS Act. However, there are still many criminal cases pending against Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, in which the police are investigating.
