Zirakpur: Gangster Jassa Happowal who was nabbed by police earlier was injured today in a police action while he attempted to flee from police custody. Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav shared this information on his X handle.
The action was taken by the Anti Gangster Task Force (AGTF) when Gangster Happowal tried to flee from police custody. Gangster Jassa Happowal was arrested recently and was involved in 6 murder cases and other heinous crimes.

Giving the details of AGTF action, DGP Gaurav Yadav said that, AGTF had to open fire to stop him from fleeing which led to gunshot injuries. He further added that “An AGTF official was also injured in preventing his escape. They have been shifted to the nearest hospital.” Police also recovered 1 Chinese pistol and 5 cartridges.
DGP Gaurav Yadav added that ” @PunjabPoliceInd is fully committed to destroying the criminal network as per directions of CM @BhagwantMann “.
