Amritsar: Giani Ranjit Singh Former Jathedar of Patna Sahib takht has issues a clarification about the secret coronation of Kuldeep Singh Gargaj as the new Jathedar of Sri Akal takht Sahib. He explained that the timing of the ceremony was altered due to multiple threats received, indicating that the coronation would not take place.
The change in timing was implemented to ensure the safety and security of the event. He emphasized that this step was necessary to protect the sanctity and integrity of the Akal Takht Sahib while ensuring smooth completion of the religious process. He criticized giani Giani Raghbir Singh for his media statements, stating that instead of making public comments, Giani Raghbir Singh should have focused on ensuring the protection of Kuldeep Singh Gargaj.
He further pointed out that despite receiving a letter for the coronation, Giani Raghbir Singh did not attend the “Tajposhi Ceremony” of Kuldeep Singh Gargaj. Giani Ranjit singh expressed disappointment over Giani Raghbir Singh’s failure to present the Dastar or Siropao to Kuldeep Singh Gargaj, stressing that such actions could tarnish the image of the Panth and the Sikh religion. He called for more thoughtful statements that do not undermine the dignity and unity of the Sikh Community.
