Notorious criminal Goldy Brar, a Canada-based gangster and mastermind behind the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, has reportedly threatened a police officer for deploying informants against his group. Brar is associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
An audio clip of a conversation between Brar and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bikram Singh, shared by the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), has surfaced. In the clip, Brar is heard threatening the officer for using informers. The DSP, however, responds firmly, stating that the police are acting within the law and will not spare anyone involved in illegal activities.
The officer warns Brar not to blame the police for their rivalry and assures that they will face action. DSP Singh is heard saying, “We do our duty. For us, you or any other gangster, or even a dog, donkey, or horse, are the same. You will all receive the same treatment if you do not change your ways.”
In an official notification, the Union Home Ministry stated that Brar, with backing from a Pakistan-based agency, has been involved in several killings and advocates for a radical ideology. He is also accused of making threatening calls to pro-nationalist leaders, demanding ransom, and posting claims of killings on social media.
Brar, a member of the banned terrorist group Babbar Khalsa International, has also been involved in the smuggling of high-grade arms, ammunition, and explosives through drones from across the border. These materials have been used for carrying out killings, and he is accused of providing sharpshooters for the same.
