Gurdaspur Police bust interstate weapon racket, 6 wanted criminals arrested

DGP affirmed that stern action will be taken against all involved in illegal weapon networks.

Gurdaspur: In a major breakthrough, Gurdaspur Police busted an interstate weapon and drug smuggling racket. Police have arrested 6 wanted criminals and also recovered 9 pistols, 10 Magazines and 35 rounds. Police have also recovered 15000 drug money and 1.50 grams of heroin.

 The information has been shared by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav on his X handle. He added that Rupinder, one of the accused is a resident of Chhattisgarh and is involved in NDPS cases in Raipur.

DGP further added, Mani alias Mau who is also one the arrested accused was wanted in murder cases and also involved in weapon smuggling from Maharashtra. Other arrested persons also have multiple cases registered under NDPS in various police stations.

DGP affirmed that stern action will be taken against all involved in illegal weapon networks.
