At the same time, the High Power Committee constituted by the Supreme Court will meet Dallewal at the Khanauri border today.

Today, the Supreme Court will hear the 11-month-long farmer agitation at Shambhu and Khanauri border of Haryana-Punjab. In this, 2 cases will be placed before the court. The first case is the petition of the Haryana government against the decision of the Punjab and Haryana High Court to open the Shambhu border.

The second is a contempt petition against the Punjab government for not admitting farmer leader Jagjit Dallewal, who has been on a hunger strike for 42 days at the Khanauri border, to the hospital. In this, the Punjab government will present a compliance report before the court regarding the hospitalization of Dallewal. In the last hearing held on January 2, the Supreme Court had asked to keep both the cases together.

At the same time, the High Power Committee constituted by the Supreme Court will meet Dallewal at the Khanauri border today. The committee will go under the leadership of its chairman, former Justice Nawab Singh. It includes agricultural policy expert Devendra Sharma, agricultural economic policies expert RS Ghumman, Chairman of Punjab Kisan Commission Dr. Sukhpal Singh and former DGP BS Sandhu.

The committee had earlier called the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (non-political) for talks, but the Morcha flatly refused to talk to the committee.

After a 9-minute address at the Mahapanchayat on Saturday, Dallewal started feeling dizzy and vomiting. His blood pressure dropped significantly. After which the health department has put a team on alert mode. Farmer leader Sarwan Pandher said that we will celebrate the Prakash Parv of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji today at the Shambhu border.
