The hearing of the petition filed to stop the release of the documentary of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala was held in Mansa court today (16 June). The court had sought a reply from the BBC in this matter by today, 16 June. However, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has released two episodes of the documentary on Sidhu’s birthday on 11 June. At the same time, Sidhu’s parents say that their fight will continue.

Sidhu Moosewala’s documentary has been prepared by the BBC channel. It was to be screened in Mumbai earlier. As soon as Sidhu’s family came to know about this, they objected to it. They said that the trial of this case is still going on, and the documentary may affect the case. After this the family filed a case in the court.

The court had issued a notice to the BBC in this matter. During the hearing today, a panel of three lawyers appeared in the court. They told the court that they would respond to the objection raised by the family. For this, he sought time from the court. The court has fixed the date of next hearing on June 16 and directed BBC to file a reply.

Meanwhile, BBC has released 2 episodes of the documentary “The Killing Call” made on Sidhu Moosewala. It has been released despite the objection of Sidhu’s father, Balkaur Singh.
