Heat wave alert in all districts of Punjab: Temperature crosses 47.6 degrees, conditions will remain same till June 17

At the same time, the Meteorological Department today issued a heat wave alert for 23 districts. In which there is an orange alert in 17 districts and yellow alert in 6.

If the officials of the Meteorological Department are to be believed, there is no possibility of people getting relief from heat wave and heat till June 17.

At the same time, electricity consumption has increased due to the start of paddy season in the state. Let us tell you that on Thursday the maximum electricity demand touched the level of 15,379 MW, which is the highest so far in this season. The department has advised people to avoid heat.

Heat Wave alert in these districts

Today there will be severe heat in 17 districts of Punjab. Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Ferozepur, Fazilka, Faridkot, Muktsar, Moga, Bathinda, Mansa, Ludhiana, Barnala, Sangrur, Patiala, SAS Nagar, and Malerkotla districts are included.

Orange alert will be in place in these districts. Also, yellow alert will be in place in Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Fatehgarh Sahib and Rupnagar.
