‘Working hours to be reduced if demands not met’: HRTC Drivers and conductors give ultimatum

The drivers and conductors pressed on their demands and said that the working hours of the employees will be reduced. 

Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) drivers and conductors will not provide night services if their demands are not met.

The union says that this process will be adopted under work to rule from August 1. HRTC Driver Union President Mansingh Thakur gave this information in a press conference held at Old Bus Adda Shimla, on Tuesday. The drivers and conductors pressed on their demands and said that the working hours of the employees will be reduced.

He said that the management has been informed several times about the demands of the employees, including overtime, night allowance and other demands.

He said that a 15-point demand letter has been submitted to the government, if the demand letter is not considered before July 31, then eight hours duty will be given under work to rule from August 1.

Apart from this, he also demanded that employees of the union should be paid their salaries on the 1st of every month.
