Goraya: In a horrific accident, Two youths died in a road accident near Goraya in Jalandhar, Punjab. Both the deceased were cousin brothers, who were going towards Amritsar and met with accident near Goraya. Police has sent the bodies of both for postmortem to Phillaur Civil Hospital. One youth fell off the bridge, while the other one died after the railing on the flyover impaled him. After this incident on Goraya Main Chowk Bridge, the Goraya police station reached the crime scene for investigation. The accident happened around 5:30 in the evening yesterday.

The deceased have been identified as Gurpreet Singh son of Phumman Singh, resident of Kapra village Ukeke in Amritsar and Navdeep Singh son of Nirmal Singh, resident of Shewajaiton village in Gurdaspur. 32-year-old Gurpreet fell from the bridge and Navdeep was impaled by a railing. Both cousin brothers had gone to Ludhiana to get medicine and on their way back to Amritsar, the mishap took place.

Initial investigation has revealed that this accident happened after a collision with the railing. Both of them were on the bike and after the motorcycle collided with the railing, one youth flung off  the bridge and the other youth got stuck in the railing of the bridge and hung on the bridge.
