Jalandhar: A father and son have died in a horrific collision between two cars and an SUV near Model Town, a posh area of Jalandhar. The police have taken the bodies of both of them into custody and sent them for post-mortem. Both father and son were standing on the roadside and were preparing to return home from the party. According to the information received, about four people have also been injured in the incident. They have been admitted to different private hospitals. They are currently undergoing treatment.
According to the people around, both the cars were moving at a very high speed. The car went out of control and this accident happened. According to the information received, the car Brezza (PB-08-EM-6066) damaged in the incident was blown to pieces. The second car Venue (PB-08-EH-3609) and the third XUV (PB-08-EF-0900) car have been damaged.
This accident happened outside Thind Eye Hospital on Mall Road in Model Town. Both father and son died on the spot in the incident. The deceased have been identified as Sandeep Sharma (53 years) and Sanan Sharma (17), residents of Makdoompura, Dhobi Mohalla. At the time of the accident, both father and son were standing on the roadside to return home from the party. During this time, a speeding vehicle crushed them and also hit other vehicles.
According to the information received, the accident happened around 12 o’clock late night. At the time of the incident, the vehicles were moving at a very high speed. The incident was reported to the police control room by the owners of the houses built on the road. The police reached the crime scene and started investigation. Till morning, the police was busy scanning the CCTV of the area.
