Hoshiarpur: Punjab Police IG Intelligence Babu Lal Meena visited Hoshiarpur to assess the security arrangements ahead of Republic Day.
Accompanied by SSP Surendra Lamba, Meena inspected the Republic Day program venue, reviewed security at the Hoshiarpur Police Line, and conducted checks at the Sadar police station and bus stand.
The district currently has 11 stationary and 11 mobile checkpoints, with over 1,200 police personnel deployed around the clock to ensure safety.
During his meeting with police officials, IG Meena emphasized the importance of maintaining strict vigilance and being alert, especially during the Republic Day celebrations. The inspection underscores the police’s commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for the occasion.
