2 murder accused arrests in Ludhiana

The police have also recovered the bullet bike from the accused. Which the accused had stolen from village Giddividi.

Ludhiana: In Ludhiana district about a week ago, the police arrested the accused, who killed a youth in the matter of stealing a bullet bike from a house in village Giddividi of Sidhwan Bet. The accused were identified as Davinder Singh Kaka (26) resident of Mohi and Jaspreet Singh alias Jassi (21) resident of Mohi.

The police have also recovered the bullet bike from the accused. Which the accused had stolen from village Giddividi. After this, the police produced both the accused in court and obtained remand for further interrogation.

Giving information regarding this case, SSP Navneet Singh Bains said that a week ago, the accused stole the bullet bike from Angrezpal Singh’s house and fled. As soon as the victim’s father learned about this, he woke up his sons and informed them about the incident. So both the brothers started chasing the thieves on another bike. During this, the thief sitting behind the bullet bike attacked Agrejpal Singh’s brother Sukhwinder Singh with a sharp weapon and seriously injured him.

Due to this, Sukhwinder Singh was covered in blood. Seeing his brother bleeding on his head, Agrejpal Singh took him to Ludhiana DMC Hospital. But Sukhwinder Singh died on the way. After this, the police registered a case of unidentified thieves and started an investigation.

The murder accused, caught by the police, told them that along with working as labourers, they had started committing thefts. When they were running away after stealing the bike, they attacked both the brothers out of fear of getting caught. In this affair, their hands bled. SSP Bains said that a rape case was registered against the accused, Davinder Singh, in 2020 in Thana Sudhar. Due to this, the accused has already gone to jail.

In village Giddividi, both the bike thieves and the murder accused were caught in the CCTV camera installed near the house. The thieves had tied handkerchiefs around their mouths. The police took the footage into their possession and started looking for the two thieves. During this, the police took the investigation forward by scanning around 300 cameras and also collecting the dump of mobile locations. During this, the police got some clues. After which, the police caught the two thieves accused of murder.
