Kapurthala: In the village of Hamira in Kapurthala a youth has been arrested during the CASO operation conducted by the Subhanpur police station. Five grams of heroin and 98 narcotic capsules have been recovered from him. Confirming this, Subhanpur SHO Kanwarjit Singh said that a case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act in the Subhanpur police station.
According to the information received, SHO Kanwarjit Singh of Subhanpur police station and Sub Inspector Baljit Singh were conducting a CASO operation in village Hamira along with the police party. During this, a youth, Raja Singh, alias Raja, son of Dalveer Singh, a resident of Jagjit Nagar Hamira, was arrested on suspicion. During the search, 5 grams of heroin and 98 narcotic capsules were recovered from him. The accused has been arrested, an FIR has been registered against him under the NDPS Act, and interrogation is being done.
SHO Kanwarjit Singh also said that two separate cases under the NDPS Act were registered against accused Raja Singh in the year 2018 at Kotwali police station and Subhanpur police station.
