After the video of the theft surfaced, all the shopkeepers and commission agents at the vegetable market were worried.

The Mandi Board has the responsibility of keeping the goods of the shopkeepers safe, but the Mandi Board has also turned a blind eye.

According to the information, a young man riding an Activa stole two crates of tomatoes last night in the vegetable market located on Bahadurke Road. Manoj Monu, owner of a fruit and vegetable firm, said that he had unloaded a truck of tomatoes late on Friday evening. He had to sell the tomatoes on Saturday morning. He said that when he came in the morning and saw it, there were two crates of tomatoes. According to the shopkeeper, at this time, Kullu tomatoes are being sold at Rs 100 per kg and other tomatoes at Rs 70 to 80 per kg.

When CCTV was checked, a person riding an Activa was seen stealing crates of tomatoes at 1.35 a.m. Manoj said that this is not the first case. Often, thefts take place in the vegetable market. The police also do not take any strict action, and the Mandi Board is also not paying any attention to this. Manoj said that often, whenever a vegetable becomes expensive, thieves attack the same vegetable or fruit. A gang of thieves is active in the vegetable market. The police should patrol the market at night so that thefts can be stopped.
