Indiscriminate firing in Faridkot: Driver of suspected accused in Moosewala case killed

After receiving the information, the police have started investigating the whole matter.

A case has come to light in Brahman Wala village, adjacent to Kotkapura city in Faridkot district of Punjab, where a person travelling in an Endeavor car was shot dead by three unknown shooters riding a motorcycle on Tuesday evening. The deceased has been identified as Yadvinder Singh, a resident of Mohali, who was the driver of Jeevanjot Singh alias Jugnu, a resident of Mansa, who currently lives in Mohali and whose name had surfaced in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case, which was given a clean chit by the police.

Police engaged in investigating the matter

After receiving the information, the police have started investigating the whole matter. According to the information, a person named Gulzar Singh Nambardar died a few days ago in Brahman Wala village, and his Bhog Samagam was held in the village’s Gurudwara Sahib on Tuesday. Jeevanjot Jugnu also came with his family to this Samagam. After which, everyone was returning. Three unknown shooters riding a motorcycle in the village started firing indiscriminately on the Endeavor, due to which driver Yadvinder Singh died on the spot.

They had come to kill someone else, but killed someone else

It is being said that these accused had come to kill Jugnu, and they accidentally fired bullets at Yadvinder Singh. In this case, Jugnu said that he has no enmity with anyone and neither has he received any threat. He admitted that this attack was to be done on him, but he had boarded another car from Gurudwara Sahib. He had hired Yadvinder as a driver a few days ago. However, the police have not disclosed the reasons for the murder. SSP Dr. Pragya Jain, SP Sandeep Wadhera, DSP Kotkapura Jatinder Singh and other senior officers reached the spot and claimed to arrest the accused soon.

The incident was captured on camera

The pictures of the accused who carried out the incident have been captured in the CCTV camera, on the basis of which the police is investigating. On this occasion, the village sarpanch Gurmel Singh said that this incident came to light when the relatives of the numberdar were returning in their cars after the bhog. On this occasion, SSP Dr. Pragya Jain said that the police have got some important clues regarding this murder and the accused who committed this crime will be arrested soon.
