Inspector found ‘sleeping’ at check post in Mohali, suspended

Mohali: An inspector posted at a check post in Mohali was found sleeping in his car while on duty. Following this incident, SSP Deepak Pareek has taken strict action and suspended Inspector Bhupinder Singh.

This action was taken at 3 am today when the SSP conducted a surprise inspection of the checkpoints bordering Chandigarh, Haryana and Himachal. During this, Inspector Bhupinder Singh posted at the police line, who was posted at the checking post, and was found sleeping in his car.

The SSP said that such negligence in duty will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He has given strict instructions to all police personnel to be alert and discharge their duties honestly.
