‘Inspire budding players’: Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann extends wishes to Neeraj Chopra for winning silver medal

Yesterday in the final of Javelin Throw, Neeraj Chopra with a massive throw of 89.45 meters bagged silver medal. The Gold medal was won by Pakistan athlete Arshad Nadeem who secured the first spot after massive throw of 92.97 meters.

Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann congratulated Indian athlete Neeraj Chopra on winning the silver medal in javelin throw at the Paris Olympic Games. Yesterday in the final of Javelin Throw, Neeraj Chopra with a massive throw of 89.45 meters bagged silver medal. The Gold medal was won by  Pakistan athlete Arshad Nadeem who secured the first spot after a massive throw of 92.97 meters.

In his message, the Chief Minister said that Neeraj Chopra has made the entire country proud with his extraordinary and historic achievement. He said that Chopra had created history by winning the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics and now has earned the honor for the country by winning the silver medal at the Paris Olympics. CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the medals won by Indian players in the Olympics will inspire new players for the upcoming competitions.

The Chief Minister hoped that the brilliant performance of this young player would inspire future generations to follow in his footsteps. He said that Neeraj Chopra would play the role of a role model for new players in sports competitions in the times to come. He said that the brilliant performance of the players in each sport reflects their hard work and dedication towards the game.
