Amritsar: In a major breakthrough against trans-border narcotic smuggling networks, Amritsar Rural Police busted an International drug cartel. The Amritsar Rural police arrested 2 drug smugglers along with seizure of 3kg heroin and 1 kg ice drug (Methametaphine).
The information was shared by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav on his X handle.
The post further mentioned that preliminary investigations by Police revealed that arrested accused were in touch with Pakistani Drug smuggler Dogar Rajput and used drones to smuggle heroin.
Police added that FIR under NDPS act has been registered and investigations are going on to establish backward and forward linkages.
