ISI backed terror module busted: 2 accused of Ajnala PS blast arrested, hand grenades recovered

In this search operation, police recovered 2 hand grenades and one pistol along with ammunition and one motorcycle has been recovered from the apprehended accused.

In a major breakthrough, Punjab Police disrupted a Pakistan-based ISI-backed terror module which is run by Babbar Khalsa International operatives. In today’s operation, Punjab Police apprehended 2 accused which also includes a juvenile. The information was shared by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav. The arrested accused were involved in the IED attack at Police Station Ajnala last month.

Punjab Police busted terror modules run by operatives of Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) namely Harvinder Rinda ad Harpreet Singh alias Happy Passia. It was executed by foreign-based gangster Gurvdev Singh alias Jaisal alias Pehalwan, who is native of village Chambal, Tarn Taran.

Vigilant Punjab Police working on the intelligence input arrested Jashandeep Singh of  Amritsar and another person (juvenile) in the same case.

  During interrogation, they revealed that they have placed IED at Police Station Ajnala on 23.11.2024 and carried out other attacks.

Recovery: 2 hand grenades and one pistol along with ammunition and one motorcycle has been recovered from the apprehended accused. FIR has been registered at SSOC Amritsar. Investigations are underway to unearth the complete networks of Rinda, Happy Passia and Gurdev Jaisal.
