Patiala: The health of Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who was on a hunger strike at Kisan Morcha, suddenly deteriorated seriously on the 92nd day. His blood pressure rose to a very dangerous level (176/107), which has raised concerns among doctors.
The team of doctors present at the Kisan Morcha is constantly monitoring Dallewal’s health. According to the doctors, his health is continuously deteriorating due to the hunger strike that has been going on for such a long time, and such a high rise in blood pressure can pose a serious threat to his health.
Other leaders and workers of the United Kisan Morcha are also worried after this news. Fellow farmers present at the front are constantly praying and expressing support for his health. At the same time, the team of doctors has kept Dallewal under observation.
The march to Delhi was postponed just yesterday
Farmers of Haryana and Punjab have postponed their decision to march to Delhi. Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher gave this information on Monday.
On Sunday, the leaders of both the forums held talks with their supporters and discussed the future strategy. No solution could be found even in the sixth meeting held in Chandigarh between the agitating farmers and the Center on Saturday.
In the meeting that lasted for two and a half hours, the farmers remained adamant on the demand for a guarantee of minimum support price (MSP). They presented the figures before the Center. Now the next meeting will be held in Chandigarh on March 19.
