Jalandhar: 2 friends die in tragic road accident

The villagers said that both the youths were riding a bike and both were coming from Goraya towards Sang Dhesian. Both the youths died due to head injuries but the bike did not suffer much damage.

A wave of grief has spread in the village of Ghurka after the tragic death of 2 friends in a tragic accident on the Boparai canal bridge in Goraya. They were riding a motorcycle and an unknown vehicle hit them. The deceased have been identified as Simarjit (15), Mahe, son of Baldev Ram, a resident of village Ghurka, and Lali (16) son of Ashok Kumar, a resident of village Ghurka.

According to information, Simarjit worked as a bricklayer. Lali was the only brother of 6 sisters, who was a student of class X and after praying at many places, the parents got a son. The villagers said that both the youths were riding a bike and both were coming from Goraya towards Sang Dhesian. Both the youths died due to head injuries but the bike did not suffer much damage.

As soon as the information about this incident was received, the Road Safety Force and then the police of Goraya police station reached the spot. The police have taken the bodies of the two youths into custody and sent them to the Civil Hospital, Phillaur (Jalandhar) for postmortem. Both the youths were very young. Both died in the accident. They said that the unknown vehicle could not be found yet. The vehicle is being searched with the help of CCTV cameras.

Giving information in this regard, SHO Goraya Sikander Singh Virk and Ashok Mahe of village Ghurka said that they had received information that two youths riding a motorcycle on Para Nehr Police were hit by an unknown vehicle, due to which both of them died painfully on the spot. SHO Virk said that at around 8.15 pm, two youths were coming from Goraya on a bike towards the village of Sang Dhesian.
