Jalandhar: Today, Aam Aadmi Party is holding a state-level protest in Jalandhar, Punjab. Many state-level leaders of Aam Aadmi Party will attend this protest. Aam Aadmi Party will hold this protest against Bharatiya Janata Party and CBI. This demonstration will be held at the busy Baba Jagjivan Ram Chowk (120 Feet Road) of the city at around 10:30 in the morning.
This protest is being held in the case of the arrest of Aam Aadmi Party supremo and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal by the CBI. At present, Kejriwal is in the custody of CBI.
Arvind Kejriwal arrested by CBI
On 25 June 2024, Delhi High Court stayed the lower court’s decision granting bail to Arvind Kejriwal. The same night, CBI reached Tihar Jail to question Kejriwal in the corruption case in the liquor policy and on the morning of 26 June, Kejriwal, who was in jail for 76 days, was arrested again. Angry with this, AAP workers are protesting in Delhi and Punjab.
