Jalandhar: Child dies after drowning in swimming pool; CCTV footage revealed

In Jalandhar, a child who went for swimming in a swimming pool to get relief from the heat died after drowning in the water. When the child did not reach home on Tuesday night, the family reached the swimming pool searching for him.

When the child did not reach home on Tuesday night, the family reached the swimming pool searching for him. When the CCTV cameras installed there were checked, the child’s drowning was revealed.

Father Bhim Bahadur told that he is originally from Nepal. He lives in Danishmanda Colony in Jalandhar. His son Madhav (13) went for a swimming in the Royal Swimming Pool located in Sun City Colony with 4 friends on Tuesday evening. When Madhav did not come home till 9 pm, the family started looking for him.

Madhav’s friends were also questioned. They told that everyone had gone to the pool together. After this, the family members reached the swimming pool searching for him. On suspicion, the family members checked the CCTV cameras installed in the pool.

According to CCTV, Madhav took the last jump in the swimming pool at 6.07 pm. After this Madhav did not came out. When the family members searched in the pool, Madhav was found unconscious. Immediately after this he was taken to the hospital. There the doctors declared him dead after checkup.

After getting the information about the death of the child, ASI Niranjan Singh of Lambra police station reached the spot with the police party. The police took the body in their custody and kept it in the postmortem room of the civil hospital.
