Jalandhar: Commissionerate Police bust gang of fake certificates of CBSE and Open School

An FIR has also been registered under the Act.

Jalandhar: The Jalandhar Commissionerate Police under the leadership of Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma has busted a gang of fake CBSE and Open School certificates.

Disclosing the details, the Police Commissioner revealed that the police had received a tip-off that a gang was operating in the city which was involved in creating fake CBSE and Open School certificates. He said that the police had started an investigation into the matter and the two persons have been identified as Anurag Dabar son of Ram Prakash resident of B-46 New vinai Nagar Longi village Jalandhar and Raghav Chadha son of Naresh Chandra resident of ND-193/O. 11 Mohalla Fatehpuri Tanda Road Jalandhar.

 Swapan Sharma said that 465,467,468,471,420 IPC, 66D IT was registered against them at Police Station Division 8 Jalandhar on 18-01-2024. An FIR has also been registered under the Act.

The Commissioner of Police said that this gang used to work in a very nefarious manner and was involved in making fake certificates on a large scale.

  Swapan Sharma said that during the search, the police recovered a computer set along with a printer and about 600 fake certificates from the possession of the accused. Talking about this gang, he said that Anurag Dabur, who is the principal of a private school, used to collect data from the students and send it to the other accused Raghav.

 Swapan Sharma said that Raghav used to generate fake certificates from data using computer and sell it at exorbitant prices. The police commissioner said that this gang used to sell these certificates at a price ranging from Rs 20,000 to Rs 25,000. He said that further investigation of the matter is going on and more details will be shared later.
