Jalandhar: In a major relief to Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim as Punjab and Haryana High Court has quashed FIR lodged against him. HC ordered to quash the case of hurting religious sentiments during his address pertaining to an incident involving Sant Kabir Das and Guru Ravidas.
High Court quashed the case saying that no evidence has been found in support of the case. “The narrative does not seem to insult the religious sentiments or beliefs of any specific group, as it is deeply rooted in historical resources”, said court.
Earlier, the case was registered in march on the complaint of Jassi Tallan, president of Shri Guru Ravidas Tiger Force.
