Jalandhar: Former Punjab CM and Jalandhar Lok Sabha MP Charanjit Singh Channi has been given a big responsibility by the Congress. Yesterday, on Tuesday, late evening, Congress appointed MP Channi and former Himachal Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri as senior observers for the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections 2024.
Let us tell you that the first phase of voting is being held in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday i.e. today for the assembly elections. Congress does not want to take any kind of risk regarding the elections in Jammu and Kashmir. Therefore, Congress is giving the responsibility of Jammu and Kashmir to the candidates who have won by a big margin from every state. Just before the voting, the Congress party appointed Channi as the senior observer of the AICC.
