Jalandhar Police arrest three thieves, recover stolen vehicles

arrested youths have revealed during interrogation that their accomplice Buddha Parkash Singh son of Amrik Singh resident of 386B Mohan Vihar Ladhewali Jalandhar was also involved in stealing the vehicle with them.

Jalandhar: Jalandhar police have arrested three snatchers and recovered the stolen vehicles from them. Giving information in this regard, ACP Parmjit Singh said that the police had received a tip-off that Dilpreet Singh alias Deepu son of Varjinder Singh resident of 88/7 Gurdev Nagar Jalandhar and Maninder Singh alias Vicky son of Davinder Singh resident of 227 Harnamdas Pura Jalandhar, were seen riding on a stolen motorcycle near Jail Chowk in Jalandhar.

 He said that while acting on this information, the police laid a trap and saw two youths coming with motorcycle registration number PB08-EU-5663. ACP Parmjit Singh said that during the investigation, the youth could not give any information about the owner of the vehicle, after which they were arrested.

ACP Parmjit Singh further said that the arrested youths have revealed during interrogation that their accomplice Buddha Parkash Singh son of Amrik Singh resident of 386B Mohan Vihar Ladhewali Jalandhar was also involved in stealing the vehicle with them.

 In this regard, he said that the police arrested Budh Prakash Singh and recovered an Activa whose registration number was PB08-ED-3502 with fake registration number PB08-ED-3534. ACP Parmjit Singh said that the accused have admitted their involvement in several cases of robbery and have admitted to stealing a motorcycle from a person near Lovely Sweets Road in Jalandhar 3-4 days ago.
