Jalandhar police Commissionerate arrest two gangsters of Bambiha Gang, pistols and opium seized

The Jalandhar Commissionerate Police has achieved a major success by arresting two gangsters of the Bambiha gang and recovering three pistols and 1 kg of opium from them.

Jalandhar : The Jalandhar Commissionerate Police has achieved a major success by arresting two gangsters of the Bambiha gang and recovering three pistols and 1 kg of opium from them.

Disclosing the details, the police commissioner said that the police had received a tip-off that two dreaded gangsters of the Bambiha gang were planning to kill their rival gang members and were active in the city. He said that based on the information, the police arrested Anil Kumar alias Rocky, son of Dharam Chand, resident of house no. 1046, lane no. 8 Kabir Nagar and recovered a 32 bore pistol, one magazine and three live cartridges from him.

Swapan Sharma said that more than 20 cases are against Rocky and he has been lodged in various jails across the state for eight years.

The Commissioner of Police said that Rocky admitted during interrogation that one of his accomplices Mukesh Sharma alias Munna son of Umesh Sharma, a resident of village Topa (Bihar) and currently residing at house number 631 Karol Bagh, was also a part of this conspiracy. He said Munna had already been declared PO in three NDPS cases and was wanted by the police.

Similarly, Mr. Swapan Sharma said that the police arrested Munna and recovered one kg of opium, two pistols of 32 bore, four magazines and six cartridges from him.

The Commissioner of Police said that FIR has been registered against both the dreaded gangsters. He said that this gang is involved in many heinous crimes like murder, intimidation, extortion, extortion and many other criminal activities in many districts of the state.
