The operation took place between 7:30 PM and 10:30 PM, during which police conducted thorough inspections of shops and vehicles to ensure adherence to regulations.

“Unlawful behavior is entirely unacceptable and will not be tolerated,” Sharma stated, warning that those who violate the law would face stringent consequences.

The operation led to 35 arrests, the issuance of 14 traffic challans, the impounding of 3 vehicles, and one preventive action taken under Sections 126/169 of the BNS.

Sharma reiterated the intention to carry out similar operations in the future, stressing that no one, regardless of their position, would be permitted to break the law. “The Commissionerate Police is dedicated to enforcing strict measures against those who endanger public safety, particularly during festive times.”
