Jalandhar: In Jalandhar, Punjab, there was a dispute over parking an Activa in the Post Office lane of Dhan Mohalla. The dispute escalated so much that one party beat up three people, including an elderly woman of the other party. This incident took place in the area of Police Station Division Number 3. Kamaljit Singh, a resident of Dhan Mohalla, said that he was sleeping in his house in the morning.
During this time, his sister-in-law was beaten up. Kamaljit said that this beating was done by his neighbours. A youth named Shanky, who lives in the neighbourhood, attacked. It is alleged that the said youth first beat him up and then pulled him by his hair. Kamaljit said this entire dispute was only about parking the Activa. Sunita said, The accused beat me and my mother-in-law.
Kamaljit said that similar fights had happened in the past as well, but the matter never reached the stage of scuffle. We thought it was good to live with unity in the locality. But today the neighbors crossed all limits. Kamaljit said, We had good relations with our neighbour’s grandfather, but their son attacked us and ended our relationship.
Kamaljit said that when he came to the rescue, he was also beaten up. Both of them have filed an MLR at Civil Hospital Jalandhar. Kamaljit said, I was attacked with a rod, and a complaint has been lodged with the police of Police Station Division Number-3.
