Jalandhar: Jalandhar Rural Police achieved great success by arresting 5 accused with illegal weapons. Giving information to the press in this regard, Dr. Ankur Gupta, IPS, Senior Police Captain, Jalandhar (Rural), said that during Hitech Naka Sutlej Bridge Phillaur, 5 persons who were going to Hoshiarpur on different motorcycles from Ludhiana, were stopped by the Hitech Block and checked by the police officers and police recovers 4 pistols, 8 live cartridges, magazines, 1 pistol Desi Katta 315 from their possession.
During the preliminary investigation, it has come to light that the main leaders of this gang are Sonu Khatri and Saurav Gujjar, against whom cases have been registered in various police stations of Punjab under felony charges.
Sourav Gujjar, who is in America now and along with the gangster Sonu Khatri, are operating this gang from abroad.
Sourav Gujjar’s brother Binny Gujjar who is lodged in Ludhiana Jail in cases of murder and other serious crimes, who along with his other accomplice Dvida Rihana Ranhi from Ghazni is sending money to accused Chandra Shekhar Pandit and his accomplices from Madhya Pradesh.
They had sent money and bought pistols from them so that their gang members could continue their criminal activities and their gang would continue to dominate in Punjab.
