Jalandhar: According to the directions of Senior Police Captain Harkamalpreet Singh Khakh, Jalandhar (Rural), under the campaign against drug traffickers, SHO Sukhdev Singh, head of police station Phillaur, has succeeded in arresting a woman and four drug traffickers.
Police team carried out a raid and as a result, one woman and four men drug traffickers were arrested in two different cases. SHO Sukhdev Singh further said while talking to the journalists that the Phillaur police arrested Gyan son of Jeet Ram resident of Samradi Phillaur, Darbara son of Gyan resident of Samradi Phillaur and Bimbo wife Gyan resident of Samradi.
Police team along with the arrest of drug smugglers recovered 12 grams of heroin and 210 drug pills from them. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act. Further action is in progress.
SHO Phillaur further informed that the drug sellers Ajay Kumar son of Anokha Ram resident of Nangal police station Phillaur and Sahil son of Desraj resident of village Majri were also arrested in different case and 240 drug pills were recovered from them. Case No. 222 10/08/2024 under Section 22 has been registered under the NDPS Act. Police further said that accused from both cases will be produced before the magistrate and remand will be sought for further investigation.
