Jalandhar: The rural police in Jalandhar has arrested three accused in the case of writing Khalistani slogans on the instructions of pro-Khalistan terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. All three accused are just 19 years old.
The arrested accused have been identified as Tejpal Singh alias Pali, resident of Mohalla Ranjit Nagar, Nakodar, Kartik, resident of Mohalla Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar, Nakodar and Veer Sukhpal Singh, resident of Khanpur Dhadan, falling under Police Station Sadar Nakodar.
In the case, the police have named US-based terrorist Gurpatwant Pannu, Canada-based terrorist Balkaran Singh (resident of Nakodar, Jalandhar) and UK-based terrorist Jaskaran Preet Singh alias Bawa (resident of Jalandhar’s Khanpur village).
SSP said- money was sent from abroad, then the crime was committed by inspiring the accomplices.
Jalandhar Rural Police SSP Harvinder Singh Virk said that the police of Police Station Sadar Nakodar have arrested the three accused today (April 14). During interrogation of the accused, it was revealed that Veer Sukhpal was inspired to write slogans from abroad.
Balkaran Singh deposited money in Veer Sukhpal Singh’s account from Canada and planned the crime. After this, he along with two other friends wrote Khalistani slogans near Nakodar bypass. They made a video of this and sent it to terrorists sitting abroad. After this, they tried to spoil the atmosphere of Punjab by posting these.
