NSA was imposed for supporting Amritpal

According to the information received, Punjab Police had detained Amritpal Singh from his house during the action against the members of Waris Punjab De on charges of participating in radical activities. Rauke’s father Charhat Singh was also detained by the police on 25 March 1993 during the period of militancy in Punjab. He never returned home.

Rauke’s father was in the movement with Bhindranwale

Maha Singh said- He was a leader of the Youth Akali Dal and was detained for supporting Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale’s pro-Khalistan movement in Punjab. Later he also became the Sarpanch of our village and on 25 March 1993, the police forcibly took him from our house. Maha Singh said- We don’t know what happened to him, because we never found his body.
