Vice President of student union detained in Khanna in AS college shooting incident

CIA team is investigating the network.

Khanna: In Khanna, police arrested the 5th accused in the incident of indiscriminate firing on 27th July at AS College situated on Samrala Road. Police arrested Lovepreet Singh, alias Lavi Mann, a resident of the village Saloudi adjacent to the college. This accused turned out to be the Vice President of Gandhi Group Student Union (GGSU) Khanna. The police have also gotten hold of his posters uploaded on social media. The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Khanna Police is investigating this entire case. The network of the accused is being investigated.

According to sources, Lovepreet Singh Lavi Mann started becoming a criminal as soon as he set foot in the college world. After taking admission to a private college in Khanna, he became the Vice President of the Gandhi Group Student Union. However, it could not be confirmed under what authority he was made the Vice President of this union. After the first semester, he did not fill out the examination form for the second semester and did not go to college again.

Khanna Police had caught two criminals after an encounter on 1st August. A blockade was put up near Gandhi Canal Bridge in Samrala. Seeing the police, the accused threw the bike into the fields and fled. When the police chased them in the car, they opened fire on the police. They were arrested in retaliatory

Two groups of students clashed with each other at AS College on Samrala Road in Khanna and one group opened fire. A college employee was injured in this firing. 5 to 6 shots were fired on the spot. After which the attackers fled in a grey Swift car. On the way, they filled petrol in the car and fled after robbing the petrol pump employee at gunpoint.
