Chandigarh : Today is the last day of election campaign in Punjab. The noise of election campaign will stop from 6:00 pm. For this, the Returning Officer has issued an order.
He has instructed all the parties to send back all the supporters who have come from outside by 6:00 pm today. For this, Section 144 has also been imposed.
Orders given to the police
Chandigarh DC and Returning Officer Vinay Pratap Singh has ordered the Chandigarh Police to check the places where people from outside can stay.
Check the identity of the people staying in lodges, guest houses etc. Check posts should be set up at border areas. So that the vehicles coming from outside can be checked. If there are people in a group somewhere, then their identity should be checked whether they are voters of this city or not.
All polling booths will be connected through web casting
To prevent any kind of disturbance during voting, the Chandigarh Election Commission has decided to connect all polling stations through web casting.
All 614 polling stations in Chandigarh city have been connected through this web casting. Out of these, 139 sensitive polling stations will be kept under special surveillance. Its trial has also been successful. All these polling stations have been connected with the District Election Control Room. From where the senior officials of the district will keep an eye on them.
