By-elections are to be held in Ludhiana on June 19. Today is the last day for filing nominations. So far, candidates from major parties like Congress, SAD and AAP have filed nominations. Today, BJP candidate Jeevan Gupta will file nomination.
Gupta will come to the Deputy Commissioner’s office at around 10.30 am to fill the papers with the state BJP high command. Gupta has also started election campaigning. BJP has also chosen some veteran leaders to strengthen his election campaign.
These star campaigners will campaign
Among these star campaigners, first are Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, former Union Minister Anurag Thakur, State President Sunil Jakhar, former MP Avinash Rai Khanna, former State President Ashwani Sharma.
Similarly, there are former minister Manoranjan Kalia, MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa, and party co-incharge Narinder Singh Raina. Gupta had started election campaigning after the ticket was announced. From today, Monday onwards, he will target the present government and other parties in the colonies and at election meetings too.
