With the beginning of the new year, those who deposit property tax will have to pay a 10% penalty. Consumers who deposit property tax are depositing tax to avoid penalties. Not only this, offices were also opened on Saturday-Sunday to deposit property tax in many cities.
About Rs 43 lakh property tax was collected with 315 PTR in Amritsar Municipal Corporation on Monday. So far the figure for the financial year 2024-2025 has reached 31.09 crores. Now only one day is left to avoid a 10% penalty.
CFC offices will remain open at the main office of the Municipal Corporation, Ranjit Avenue and all the zonal offices of the Municipal Corporation to collect property tax till late evening on Tuesday. People can deposit property tax online on the link http://mseva.lgpunjab.gov.in
Municipal Corporation Commissioner Gulpreet Singh Aulakh had issued instructions on 20 December that despite the holiday, whether it is Saturday or Sunday, the CFC offices of the Municipal Corporation will remain open to collect property tax. Due to which the Municipal Corporation has collected more than one crore rupees in property tax in the last few days.
Municipal Corporation Commissioner Gulpreet Singh Aulakh said that to avoid 10% penalty, consumers should deposit the property tax. Today, Tuesday is the last day left to avoid the penalty.
