Punjab: In a tragic incident, world-renowned centenarian marathon runner, aged 114, passed away in a road accident on Monday, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of endurance, resilience, and inspiration.
Singh, often hailed as the “Turbaned Tornado,” was known globally for completing multiple marathons well past the age of 100. According to local police, the accident occurred while he was walking near his residence in Punjab. Further details of the incident are awaited.
Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit expressed deep grief over the passing of Singh. “Deeply saddened by the demise of the iconic marathon runner Fauja Singh Ji.
