Lok Sabha 2024: last chance to apply for new vote; Here’s how to apply online

People can make sure if their name is there in the list by visiting the online voter helpline application.

Chandigarh: Polling in Punjab will be held on June 1st. The Punjab Chief Election Officer is coming up with new initiatives to increase the voting percentage this time. A slogan of ‘Is Vaar 70 Paar’ (This time above 70) is also given to ensure voting percentage above 70 percent.

To cast vote, it is necessary that people should have enrolled their name in the voter list. Ahead of 2024 election, today is the last chance for people to enroll their names in the list by applying for Voter Card.

Anyone above 18 as of January 1, 2024 is eligible to cast vote. People can apply for voter card through online portal too. Apart from this, application can also be done through mobile app. The form can be filled at the facilitation center in the DC office.

People can make sure if their name is there in the list by visiting the online voter helpline application. Form 94 can be physically submit at the Suvidha Kendra to apply for new vote. People also make changes if any in their existing voter card.

How to apply for Voter Card Online

1. To create Voter ID online, you first need to visit the official website of Election Commission of India.

2. Click on the National Voter Services Portal.

3. After clicking, a new page will open. On which now you have to click on the option of apply online for new voter registration.

4. Now form-6 will open in front of you in this form you will be asked various details.

5. In it you fill all the information and upload required documents and finally enter captcha code.

6. After filling this form, first save it and preview it once to see if you have inadvertently made any mistakes. Then you submit it.

7. After submission, a link will be sent to your email id. With the help of which you will be able to check the status of Voter ID. Also, the voter ID card will reach your home in about a week.
