Ludhiana: Husband kills man over suspicion of having affair with wife

The body was kept in the morgue last night.

A youth was stabbed to death by his neighbour in Ludhiana district.  Knife marks were found on the deceased’s face and on the neck. The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Nandlal, a resident of Makkar Colony in Giaspura. His neighbour suspected that Nandlal was having an illicit affair with his wife, due to which he attacked him with a knife. Nandlal worked in a tyre factory. The body was kept in the morgue last night.

According to information, he was sleeping in his room the previous day. He was murdered late at night. The incident came to light when the neighbour suddenly left the house with his wife and other members carrying bags and belongings and started walking towards the railway station. Suspecting foul play, the landlord and other people wondered why he, along with his family, suddenly left the house.

Husband and wife were arrested at the railway station

Then another neighbour went to Nandlal’s room and saw that Nandlal’s body was lying in a pool of blood. That person gathered all the people. The owner of the house, Jaspal, immediately informed the police and went to the railway station with other people. With the help of other people, the accused was searched and was found too.

There was a quarrel between the accused husband and wife before the murder

The police have arrested the neighbour and his wife, who committed the murder. On the other hand, Nandlal’s body has been kept in the morgue of the civil hospital. According to people, before Nandlal’s murder, there was a big quarrel between the accused killer and his wife.

It is suspected that after this quarrel, the woman’s husband killed Nandlal in rage. On the other hand, Chand Ahir, in-charge of Giaspura police station, said that the body was found lying in the room. There are also knife marks found confirming murder. The case is currently being investigated. The police will soon reveal the truth of this matter.
