When the police personnel stopped them for checking on suspicion, 1 kg heroin was recovered from the accused.
At present, the police has arrested the drug smugglers and seized the Activa and the drug. The accused have been identified as Mahesh alias Jatin resident of village Rampur Dakkhana, Gugri police station, Jamalpur. Similarly, Sonu Thakur is a resident of Goshala Gopal Nagar Mohalla Shiv Shakti Colony.
The third accused, Abhishek Gautam alias Shooter is a resident of Bilaspur district. The accused lives in the area of Prem Vihar Police Station Tibba in Ludhiana. The police will present all three accused in the court today and obtain their remand.
