Ludhiana Police crack inter-state cyber fraud gang: 2 held with Rs 5.25 crore, ATM Cards, phones

Chandigarh: In a major breakthrough, Ludhiana Police cracked an inter-state cyber fraud gang. Two accused have been arrested from Guwahati. The information about this major breakthrough was given by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav on his X handle.

Apart from the arrest of two accused, seven more persons also have been nominated by the Police. Police recovered ₹5.25 crore, along with ATM cards and mobile phones. As per DGP Yadav, this os the largest-ever recovery in India as quoted by the 14c data. 

In recognition of the excellent police work, the cybercrime team of Ludhiana Commissionerate has been awarded the Director General’s Commendation Disc for their unwavering dedication in ensuring public safety. This achievement sets a strong precedent and a high bar in the fight against cybercrime.

DGP Yadav especially congratulated, CP Ludhiana Kuldeep Chahal SHO Insp. Jatinder Singh, Cybercrime ASI Raj Kumar, ASI Paramjit Singh, HC Rajesh Kumar, Ct Rohit Bajaad and Ct Simrandeep Singh.
