Ludhiana: Police has taken action against drug smugglers in Ludhiana. On the orders of Police Commissioner Kuldeep Singh Chahal, today, under the leadership of Joint Commissioner Jaskiranjit Singh Teja, police took action against drug smugglers in Shimlapuri area.
Police conducted CASO operation today. Police searched people’s houses. According to the information, police have rounded up 5 women and 4 men. It has been learned that police have recovered drugs from these people.
Action taken by dividing into different zones
Joint Commissioner Jaskiranjit Singh Teja said that the city has been divided into different zones. Action is being taken in all those areas. The areas to be searched have been sealed. Female police personnel are also present with each team. This search operation is being conducted under CASO. With this raid, the miscreants will be curbed.
Raids being conducted in more than 100 houses
Jaskiranjit Singh Teja said that searches are being conducted in more than 100 houses in drug hotspot areas in all subdivisions of the district. Along with CASO, the houses of those people are also being searched who have criminal cases registered against them earlier. The houses of drug smugglers are being searched by searching old records. The police is also keeping an eye on those drug smugglers who have come out on bail.
