Ludhiana: Last night in Ludhiana around 12 o’clock, a drunken truck driver created a ruckus on Hambra Road. The truck driver crushed two people who were sleeping on the pavement. One person died on the spot while the other was seriously injured. He was admitted to DMC Hospital.
A speeding truck broke the wall of a plot on Ludhiana Humbaran Road and entered inside. It further crushed the people lying on the road divider.
People caught the drunk truck driver. Hearing the noise, a crowd gathered at the spot. According to information, the truck full of scrap was going to Jalandhar Bypass from Hambra Road. The speed of the truck was so fast that the driver lost control of the truck. He suddenly applied the brakes due to which the truck broke the wall of a plot and entered inside.
The deceased has been identified as Mukesh. The injured has been identified as Manoj Kumar. Both worked as laborers and are from Madhya Pradesh.
