Ludhiana district police have arrested two youths for posting fake videos on social media. The accused had shared fake videos of Pakistan dropping missiles and drones in Ludhiana. Both the accused are 20 to 22 years old.

According to Ludhiana DCP Rupinder Singh Brar, the administration was constantly warning people not to share fake news and videos. Despite this, some people were sharing such content. This was creating an atmosphere of fear among the common people. Police said that one accused made a fake video and posted it, while the other shared it in various groups. Police have identified both of them and arrested them and sent them to jail after registering a case.

DCP Brar has warned that action will also be taken against the group admins who share inflammatory content. He has appealed to the people not to panic and get information only from the official social media platform of the administration.

The DCP said that if anyone wants to get any information or sees any suspicious thing or sees a suspicious person or uploads any fake video, then they can inform us on 112 or 78370-18500. The name and identity of the informer will be kept completely confidential.
