Ludhiana, June 20: Voting for the crucial Ludhiana West constituencyy by-election concluded peacefully on June 19 at 6 PM. Electronic voting Machines (EVMs) have been securely placed at Khalsa College for Women, where they are being monitored under three tier security including CCTV surveillance, police and CRPF deployement.
Security in Focus
The administration has ensured strict security, with personnel stationed at the main gate, within the college premises, and near the EVM strongroom. Political party representatives are also closely monitoring the site, while administrative oficers oversee the security and integrity of the stored machines.
Voter Turnout
Polling began at & AM across 194 booths, with the Election Commission reporting a 51.33% turnout by 7 PM. All major candidates expressed gratitude to the voters post-election.
